Description
The scene takes place inside some green attic windows, which are seen from the outside by two faces peering in through the windows of a sloping roof.
The house is empty and old, with thin walls and low ceilings.
In the foreground, to the left and inside the attic, there is an open door from where you can access a patio overlooking the outside. From this door, in the background, you can see the antennas and the top floors of some towers.
Inside the compartment, to the right, there is a recessed hall. The wide slatted floor extends to a closed door in the hall. The door ends in an arch and is lined with cushions. To the left, the hall wall rises up to the slatted ceiling. Halfway up, there is a painting depicting a round, closed face in a rural, open-air landscape. Between the padded door and the painting is a second entrance, without a door, which rises to the ceiling.
The upper part of the picture shows the sloping ceiling in the foreground, with two horizontal roof windows. The roof window on the left is half-open. Two faces with the same expressiveness as the figure depicted in the painting can be seen through the half-open glass.
