Male portrait resting on a rectangular horizontal opening through which a cloudy scene can be seen. The face seems to emerge from the water, with the hair still submerged. Centred, it occupies the upper half of the print, all in light grey. It's a man of indeterminate age, with a high, uncovered forehead, an elongated face and close, open eyes. He is smiling, creasing his left cheek. With his mouth closed, he wears a moustache with a short stubble. Only his right ear is partially visible. A horizontal black line cuts across his face at eye level. Around it, a pattern made up of continuous lines interspersed with dotted lines, both vertical, decorates the upper half of the picture.The lower half shows a confused and turbulent landscape through a rectangular window below the man's portrait. Populated with thick cloud-like shapes, a kind of corpulent black tree stands out, its crown leafy, rounded and irregular. The author has traced a pattern across the entire lower half of the print, which follows a sequence of horizontal lines that are either continuous or dotted with irregular circles of different sizes.
