Description
Depicting circular elements and oriental graphics in a burgundy and brown colour, in a white square area. Framed against a dark brown background, the engraving depicts circular elements and oriental graphics of a bordeaux and brown colour, in a white quadrangular area. Framed against a dark brown background, the composition suggests a heterogeneous placement of apparently unrelated shapes.
The square is cracked on the right-hand side. The torn piece is held together by two rectangles of brown adhesive tape. Three oriental graphics are thus allowed to remain horizontally aligned at the top of the square.
Two circular bordeaux elements (one larger, the other smaller) fill the bottom left-hand corner of the square. Both are decorated with small bouquets of flowers. A set of rays randomly attached to the circular base support the flowery design. Overflowing from the main arch are two semicircles also decorated with a flowery pattern.
In the background, behind the flowery circles, a circular postmark is partially visible. The number ‘16.’ is written in brown in the centre band of the stamp and the words ‘* KOV’ are inverted in brown above it in the circular band of the stamp.
