Gravura ➔ Space-I-II

Description
The picture shows two contrasting spaces:
a) a first space, square, low, built on Renaissance pillars with round arches placed at each vertex. With a white front light entrance over a geometrically decorated garden. You can enjoy the reassuring presence of a tree trunk that coincides with the pillar in the bottom right-hand corner.
b) a second space, narrow, elevated, cold, flanked by sequential pillars that end in broken arches. It represents an entrance leading to a black background. It recalls the atmosphere of the corners of medieval cathedrals.
The tranquillity of the Renaissance space is centrally interrupted by the forced entrance of the medieval scene.
The symmetry of the work is only disregarded in terms of the natural element, located on the right of the print, which is represented instead of a pillar (on the left). The tree, bare of leaves, emerges from its trunk with thick branches, orientated to the left, outlining the contour of the engraving.
