Description
Composition consisting of an abstract element, in the shape of an inverted open fan, with a prominent handle, centred in the engraving. Positioned in the foreground, the salmon-coloured figure has undulating, well-defined dark brown contours. Inside, there are thick strands falling in streams to form an open fan. The base of the fan handle begins at the tapering of the strands in the centre of the piece, which opens in the shape of a ‘wine flask’ with no lining on top. Its interior has been cut lengthways where different layers are visible contiguously:
a) a central deposit of rough brown-coloured mass, which is also deposited in some of the lower cracks at the base of the fan;
b) the inside of the walls, rust-coloured and covered in horizontal lines;
c) as an outer covering, a thick salmon-coloured layer that accompanies both convex sides, with the exception of the roof, which is open. The right end is raised and twisted to the right.
The figure rests on a second plane, which occupies two thirds of the engraving, starting from the base.
