Description
A gloomy, apocalyptic atmosphere, where a human element is integrated into a ghostly landscape in a blackened petrol colour with some light nuances.
The figure occupies the centre of the print, with its head turned to the left, its face protected by safety equipment and its black neck and shoulders unprotected. The lenses of the goggles are visible in profile. Located in the mouth area, the purifying respirator, with its snail shell texture, is held by the left hand (forming a right angle with the thumb, directed to the right) and extends by a cable to the top of the head.
At the left ear, it has a mechanism similar to an ear protector, in the shape of a shell, attached to the head, and from which several sinuous tubes come out, orientated towards the upper left side. The hair is short, wavy and coloured with dark spots similar to the back of a brain with spongy cavities. Extending from the man's head to the right edge of the engraving are a series of black tubes, some twisted.

The composition is enveloped by a black aura that encapsulates the human figure.
In the background you can see a stormy landscape with a raging "oil" sea and, at the top of the print, a dark urban strip. In the top left-hand corner are two statue-like figures, made up of a head and torso, placed face to face. In the third plane you can see a patch of black buildings and a group of tall chimneys emitting flames of smoke into a black sky.
In the top right-hand corner, there is a cluster of black-painted houses with different gables and slender rectangular chimneys, where only the shape of the windows stands out due to the light. The cloudy sky is illuminated by moonlight-like colours.
