Description
Representation of a tent set up, surrounded by a solar storm. The author explores warm colours, as well as the unusual associations between a mysterious environment and the placement of an isolated object. He also conveys a sense of loneliness typical of the metaphysical art genre.
Similar to a burnt-out planet, a tent is pitched on black soil. It is erected in the centre of the landscape.   It's hexagonal in shape, with two white sides and an orange and yellow roof, empty and open at the front. In its red interior, there is a raised white mast, which culminates in a small triangular outer flag. The white threads, stretching from the top of the tent, extend out of the tent circle, held in place by stakes driven into the black soil. Another set of stakes hold up the tent at the base.
The rest of the composition represents a solar storm. The circular black ground is surrounded by two narrow layers of yellow and orange background. Large flames are generated from these layers and are projected upwards, staining the saturated red background.
