A metaphysical approach to a space in which six square mosaics are placed vertically in a 2 by 3 configuration. A green corridor is depicted in front, paved in green and cerulean blue chequered with white, leading to a dark green opening.Emília Nadal is thus trying to reinvent a space with flat colours, governed by the laws of perspective and invaded in good Magrittean fashion by images from a subconscious full of brilliant metaphors evoking not only personal ideas but a whole set of questions posed to society.
The print seems to have suffered an explosion due to the scattered placement of the figurative elements that make up the serigraph.
On the floor of the corridor lies a red strawberry and two peas to its right. A stain partially covers the corridor's checkerboard, transforming the green dales into a white tone. The number ‘five’ painted in white and blue floats above the peas.
An aerial rural panorama, green and blue, diagonally covers the centre of the picture and extends to its right-hand side. They are in fact floating islets, hilly and covered in pastures with flocks of sheep, with a white chessboard above them. It is divided into sixteen cells. The composition is completed by a rectangular red chalk box to the right of the islets. ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ stand out, written in white.
The left wall of the corridor is painted cerulean blue and cut vertically.
