Description
Group of men and women in sensual positions. Dry point engraving, which shows areas that are more scratched and furrowed and others that are clean, with a single, fine line, clearly emphasising the human figures. Two planes can be distinguished by the intensity of the stroke. The first plane, centred on the engraving, consists of a man and two women. The man is dressed in a kind of toga and is wearing a pair of high boots. He has a pear and bushy eyebrows. His bare face has his left ear resting on the right shoulder of the woman sitting to his left, in the middle of the group. The woman, in profile, looks fixedly to the right. Her chin is round and prominent. One of her arms is stretched out. With her hand, she grasps her leg, bent at the knee. She appears to be naked, revealing her bust, one bare breast and her bare feet. The rest of her body is hidden by the man. Both form the centre of the picture and are seated. To their right, another asexual figure, adorned with a braid, stands with a straight profile and a face turned to the left. The body resembles a sphinx. The upper limbs are non-existent and the lower limbs appear as clawed legs.
In the background, to the left of this trio, is a scene of a coupling between two human figures, sketched in rudimentary form, connected by their mouths.
Completing the composition, the author introduced a human element on the right and another in the shape of a half-moon in the background, which discreetly completes the couple visually.
