Description
This jewellery box is a handmade piece, made of wood, veneered with holy wood and rosewood. The lid is veneered with radial strips of holy wood and satinwood. The author called it "Fórum" (Forum).
Geometrically, it consists of two parts, the storage compartment and the lid, which form a right octagonal (hollow) prism. Its upper base corresponds to the lid, which is made up of two right octagonal prisms, the upper onelarger, and the lower smaller, that together work as a fitting. The lid separates completely from the compartment when the jewellery box is opened. The interior, similar in shape to the jewellery box, is the utilitarian part of the piece. In decorative terms, it has a rosette on the lid and a motif which remains unchanged on the eight lateral faces of the compartment, i.e., six rectangles of different colours, superimposed in order to produce the final effect of a rectangle with several frames.

Internal Notes
