This jewellery box is a handmade piece, crafted out of noble woods such as ebony, veneered with satinwood and edged with ebony. Due to its beauty and design, the author called it Perfume.Geometrically, this piece is formed by a frustum of a regular square pyramid - the body of the jewellery box - and by a regular square pyramid - the lid. The pyramidal frustum has as its bottom base a square with an edge of 8cm, as its top base a square with 3.2cm edge and a height of 5.5cm. The frustum upper base coincides with the base of the pyramid that forms the lid and has a height of 7.4cm. In the opening process, the lid completely separates from the body of the jewellery box. The combination of these two solids creates a visual image of an exquisite small perfume bottle.

Este guarda-jóias foi construído na década dos anos 90, do século 20, com madeiras nobres, folheada com pau-cetim e orlada a ébano e tampa piramidal em ébano. Devido à sua beleza e design, o autor designou-a por "Pirâmide". A peça é essencialmente decorativa, no entanto, o seu cariz é utilitário, servindo portanto, como guarda-jóias. O guarda-jóias "Perfume" faz parte integrante da coleção dos 81 guarda-jóias, doada à Universidade de Aveiro pelo Sr. Eng.º Joaquim Domingos Capela em Dezembro de 2013.Languages
