Description
This jewellery box is a handmade piece, crafted out of noble woods, with holy wood in the base and the tip and veneered with bird's eye. Due to its shape, its beauty and design, the author called it Cone.
Geometrically, this piece is formed by a half cone obtained from the intersection of a cone with a plane that contains its axis the lid, by half of a conical frustum of reduced height, obtained in the extension of the half cone the base of the jewellery box, and by a semi-cylinder – the inner hidden compartment. The base is connected to the lid of the piece by two hinges. On the opening process, the lid does not separate from the base and, as it rotates over its base diameter, it reveals the inner compartment of the jewellery box.
