This jewellery box is a handmade piece, crafted out of wood and veneered with panga-panga, bird’s eye and ebony. Due to the symbology of the Platonic solid used to build the lid of the jewellery box, the dodecahedron, the author called it Symbol of Cosmos.
Geometrically, the Symbol of Cosmos is formed by a regular pentagonal prism - the body of the jewellery box - and a dodecahedron - the lid. In the closing process, the dodecahedron is partially introduced into the pentagonal prism, with five vertices inside the body and the remaining vertices outside. The dodecahedron is only fully visible, in the opening process, when the lid completely separates from the body.
